Damn was this fun! The NEW Scissorfight with new members Doug "myowngrave" Aubin and Rick "stixxx" Orcutt along with original members Jay "octocock" Fortin, and Paul Jarvis, laid waste to the final slot of the Rock & Roll Rumble. Classic tunes along with new jams hit the air of ONCE Ballroom like the thunder of 10,000 New Hampshire Nor'Easters. And, I admit it, not long after this picture was made, I started the mosh pit. You're welcome.
April 18, 2016-Sam Black Church Documentary World Premiere
This is a picture I made of people watching the debut of my film, "Leave Behind A Groove In The Earth: The Story of Sam Black Church". It was an incredible night.
April 13, 2016-Fashion
I had the privilege of making pictures for fashion last week.
April 5, 2016-Flag Beast (with Jonah Jenkins)
Changing it up a bit this week. This is the first in a series of paintings with digital manipulation I'm doing with Jonah Jenkins. We showed this last week at ONCE Ballroom in Somerville, MA for the Put Down Ya Mic, Pic Up Ya Paintbrush Art show, curated by Nicole Tammaro.
March 28, 2016-Real Estate Photography
Real Estate Season is in full swing and I am shooting properties all over the Boston area, having a great time! Get in touch agents!
March 21, 2016-St. Patrick's Day
March 14, 2016-Queen Carla
On Sunday, the great Somerville music venue, Johnny D's, closed it's doors. I had the honor of shooting several shows there in the last year for Cringe Productions. Carla, and her family, owned the venue for decades. Part of Davis Square was closed off on Sunday and an amazing brass marching band called The Second Line Brass Band played in the street. It was a lot of fun.
March 9, 2016-Night
Another night picture from last fall. I dig making these pictures. Long exposures yield bitchin' results. One of my favorite aspects of photography is how light can can seem different than our naked eye once manipulated just slightly.
March 2, 2016-Friendship Commanders
This one is a call back from last week. As I said, I shot DIABLOGATO and Friendship Commanders in the same night. This is Jerry Roe, drummer for Friendship Commanders, a band based out of Nashville, TN. Check them out!
February 22, 2016-Diablogato
I shot DIABLOGATO randomly Saturday night. I was also at O'Briens, seeing Friendship Commanders, when I ran into DIABLOGATO drummer Jesse Von Kenmore. Jesse told me his new band was playing at Store 54. So I went back and forth across the street shooting bands. Fun night, good music!
February 15, 2016-Wedding
Photographed a wedding on Saturday! It was super fun! I had a great time and can't wait to shoot another!
February 8, 2016-Night Picture
I made this picture last fall. I was struck by the moon this night, and how it illuminated the trees in my neighborhood. This is Roger's Park in Brighton, MA, near my house. Enjoy.

February 1, 2016-Vanessa Salvucci
Meet Vanessa Salvucci. She's a Bostonian with a killer voice. Last Friday at Johnny D's in Somerville, I had the honor of photographing her along with a few other acts. Vanessa sings The Star Spangled Banner at many major Boston sports events, as well as a catalog of music from the 20th century. Plus, she writes and co-produces original material.
Vanessa graduated from Boston University, and then studied under Mark Goff at the Walt Disney World Resort. Vanessa almost lost her voice to thyroid cancer. She moved back to Boston for treatment and now lends her talents to the American Cancer Society.
Check her out. She's a bad ass.

January 25, 2016-Mass Art Design and Media Center, Charlie Baker, Governor of Massachusetts
Last week, my alma mater Mass Art, opened the new Design and Media Center, a project that's been at least 10 years in the making. The Design and Media Center is the new state of the art entrance to the school and includes an atrium, a lecture hall, multiple project rooms, film and sound studios, class rooms and a wood shop, among other facilities. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker was on hand of the ceremony and he told a funny anecdote about how he loves the industrial design of the modern ketchup bottle and how important Art and Design are for the economy and vibrancy of the Commonwealth.
January 18, 2016-Ruby Rose Fox
If you don't know her already... World, meet Ruby Rose Fox. She is incredible! She has a voice like no one else: deep, soulful, and at times eerie. Her latest video for Dance of Frankenstein, has it's own vibe: a kind of Leonard Cohen meets PJ Harvey meets I don't know what... She opened for Robin Lane and the Chartbusters last Friday night at Johnny D's in Davis Sq., Somerville, MA. An incredible show! Check her out!

January 11, 2016 - The Tank
Welcome to The Tank, a small corner of the universe where a group of like minded individuals listen to, pontificate on, and thrust their opinions of... music.
January 4, 2016 - Bronycon
Bronycon! I tried watching My Little Pony to see what all the fuss was about, and frankly it wasn't my thing. That being said I had an opportunity to go to Bronycon in 2015 and make some cool pictures of people letting their freak flag fly! This is a girl who allowed me to take her picture, and when it was done she said in this tiny cute voice, "I was rising to the sky."
December 28, 2015
MORE TABBITHA! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
December 22, 2015 - Mona Lisa
Dear World, meet Mona... Mona Lisa... the pig.
Mona currently resides in luxurious Palm Beach, Florida and lives with a wonderful family. Tyically, Mona spends her days sleeping, being cute, pining for food, and accepting her celebrity status as the local paparazzi fawn over her and take pictures with their iPhones. Typical sightings of Mona happen around Pizza Al Fresco and Ronato's. Mona is a Royal Dandy, not a Pot Belly pig. Her hair is course and when it stands up like a mohawk, that means she's happy. Last year, she won the Palm Beach Pet Parade.
Mona is sometimes accompanied by two small poodles (not pictured) named Mukti and Gizmo.
More later,
Duncan
